Obwohl sich Uganda unter der Regierung von Staatspräsident Museveni wirtschaftlich stabilisiert hat, zählt es weiterhin zu den ärmsten Ländern der Welt. Vor allem der Norden des Landes hat jahrzehntelang unter einem brutalen Bürgerkrieg gelitten. Wichtig ist daher besonders die Stabilisierung und Entwicklung des Nordens mit Beratungs- und Friedensfördermaßnahmen. World Vision engagiert sich hier insbesondere für die Wiedereingliederung von Kindersoldaten in die Gesellschaft.

In Uganda wird der Norden von zahlreichen Flüchtlingen heimgesucht. Betroffene Gemeinden werden auch durch Nahrungsmittelverteilungen unterstützt. World Vision gibt den Kindern die Möglichkeit sich in Kinderschutzzentren spielerisch zu entfalten.

    Kinderschutz:
    In Kinderbetreuungszentren finden Kinder Schutz und Ablenkung durch Freizeit- und Lernaktivitäten.
